Push notifications
Push notifications send your alerts to your device as they fire. You get one notification per check, summarizing what is new, and nothing during quiet hours (9pm to 8am by default). FIYR only pushes alerts: no marketing and no per-transaction pings.
Turn them on
A few seconds after you open FIYR, you may see a card titled "Never miss an update". Click Turn on notifications and allow notifications when your browser asks. If you clicked Not now, the card comes back in 14 days, or you can turn them on yourself:
- Open Settings, then Alerts.
- Find the Push notifications row and make sure its switch is on.
- Click Enable on this device and allow notifications when your browser asks.
- When it works, the row says "This device is registered for push".
- Click Save settings.
Each device registers on its own. Repeat these steps on every computer or phone browser where you want notifications.
What you will get
- One notification per check, never one per alert. It shows the most important new alert, with "(+2 more alerts)" when there are others.
- Only new alerts. Open alerts that update their numbers do not notify you again.
- Opening the app never sends a push. Opening it updates the bell quietly.
- Clicking a notification opens FIYR with the Alerts panel open.
Quiet hours
By default, no pushes are sent between 21:00 and 8:00 (9pm to 8am). FIYR uses your device's time zone once you have clicked Save settings in Settings, Alerts; until then it uses US Pacific time. Alerts that fire overnight wait in the bell. To change the hours, edit the two boxes in the Quiet hours row in Settings, Alerts, or switch quiet hours off, then click Save settings.
If the status line shows a problem

Turn them off
Switch off Push notifications in Settings, Alerts and click Save settings. Alerts keep appearing in the bell. To stop notifications on just one device, block notifications for fiyr.app in that browser's settings.
Common questions
Why did I get only one notification when I have three new alerts?
FIYR sends one summary per check. The notification shows the top alert and how many more there are. Open the bell to see them all.
Why did an alert not notify me overnight?
Quiet hours are on by default from 9pm to 8am. The alert is waiting in the bell. You can change the hours in Settings, Alerts.
Will FIYR send marketing notifications?
No. The only notifications are your alerts.
Do I need to enable push on each device?
Yes. Each browser or device registers separately from Settings, Alerts, Enable on this device.
